Simply Home Furnishings has recently expanded its showroom, doubling its size. While the furniture and décor dealer and its sister store, Simply Country Furniture, have been a staple in Midland for nearly 25 years, owners Alex and Ashley Wagenaar say this expansion opens new opportunities to connect shoppers with the perfect piece for their home or cottage.
While they’ve always sourced high-quality Canadian furniture for the bedroom, living room, kitchen and dining room, this expansion has allowed Alex and Ashley to increase their product offerings, and add a design centre, mattress showroom and outdoor furniture showroom, featuring heavy-duty Adirondack chairs from CR Plastics.
Simply Home Furnishings has also expanded its staff to include an interior decorator, to help buyers select the right furniture for their room layouts, colour scheme and style.
“Here, we want you to be at ease, and to feel comfortable shopping – whether you want to order a custom piece or buy one off the floor.”
Take home
One of the largest benefits of the added floor space is the flexibility it offers buyers to shop how they want.
“Our showroom floor is our warehouse. Here, you aren’t restricted to wait for your furniture. You can take what’s on the showroom floor,” says Ashley. “You don’t have to order and wait. If you buy off the floor, you can take it or have us deliver it.”
“Our customers are seeing something new every time they come in,” says Alex. “If you see something you like, pick it up. We can order something again, of course, although you’ll have to wait for delivery.”
Custom order
If you are looking for a specific sectional layout in a particular colour, you can place a custom order through the store’s new design centre. There, you’ll find fabric display racks filled with fabric swatches and leather options in a range of textures, colours and styles.
“We also offer Crypton performance fabrics that are designed to repel stains,” says Alex. “These are great products for cottages. Let us know what you’re looking for, and we’ll help find create a piece that’s just for you.”
White-Glove Service
“All of the products we offer come fully assembled,” says Ashley. With their White Glove Delivery Service, you can have your furniture delivered to your home or cottage and have the team set it up for you.
“No matter what you need, we’ve got you covered,” says Alex.
