Northern Lake Boat Works

Give your treasured boat a whole new lease on life

The old boat has been in your family since you were a kid, but it’s starting to show its age. Maybe you hit a rock and need a repair. Or the colours have faded or are no longer to your taste.

No matter the situation, the team at Northern Lakes Boat Works can help make that boat look new again, so you can keep running for years to come.

With a combined 100-plus years of experience in the shop, they can handle everything from collision repair to customization to restoration – and have produced some stunning results over the years.

Some clients have brought in old boats that have sentimental value, or are just solid boats that need a facelift. They can make the old look new, change the colour, or completely customize the look of a boat.

“A lot of people don’t realize an old boat can be made to look brand new again,” says owner Nicole Stevens. “Sometimes it’s as simple as a professional sand and polish; other times we will apply new gel coat, but it’s still cheaper than buying a new boat. And a lot of the old boats were built better than the new boats.”

Filling the gap
The business was launched ten years ago, when owner Ryan Mack and his team couldn’t find a service shop that could keep up with their marina’s extremely busy boat rental business.

So, they decided to open their own shop, putting together an expert team to get the job done. “There was a real gap in the market,” says Ryan. “We wanted quality work with excellent colour matching at reasonable prices.”

And the results have been fantastic. Not only do they meet their own needs, but they’ve helped many other clients – including other marinas – keep their watercraft looking amazing, no matter what gets thrown at them.
