This year is one energized with festive, champagne-worthy celebrations at Muskoka Bay Clothing. And for good reason – they’re celebrating twenty years in business. In the world of fashion, that’s a lot of fabulous seasons and no small achievement.
Each month throughout the year, different key suppliers are sponsoring gifts with purchases, giveaways, and contests. It’s a way to reward customers and really celebrate the many warm relationships the store enjoys with clientele new and established, from near and far.
“We’ve really become a destination boutique,” says owner Judy Terry with a warm smile. “One of the big draws that brings a lot of people to the store is word of mouth. We’re well-known for special event dressing and personalized wardrobe consultation.” Think parents of the bride, couples celebrating their golden wedding, university graduates stepping out into the world.
The shop carries a strong lineup of Canadian brands and designs that appeal to multiple generations of women and a terrific menswear lineup, too. A loyalty program gathers points toward future purchases and lets avid shoppers know about new arrivals and special promotions.
Since its launch on Father’s Day weekend in 2003, the shop has expanded, but it retains the personal touch so vital to the dynamic Muskoka Bay Clothing approach. The store is situated in an absolutely stunning historic building in downtown Gravenhurst. The welcoming contemporary design nods elegantly to tradition.

“The first thing new clients remark on is just how good the store feels the moment they walk in,” Judy observes. “People can expect a very special experience, attuned to their tastes and needs, from moment one.”
Judy loves to work with a range of tastes, putting together perfect ensembles and outfits for weddings, corporate, and other special events. Her wonderful staff can also help clients prepare for holidays and getaways, too.
“With a lot of people opting to go with carry-on luggage these days, we’ll have them bring in what they have, and guide them in creating tight vacation wardrobes with just the right accessories that pop,” Judy explains. “With a strong mix of pieces, a traveler has so many options.”
It’s like having your own personal stylist. Customers can pre-shop online using the store’s incredibly up-to-date website, then come in and enjoy warm, knowledgeable service in person. This hybrid approach is gaining popularity, as is their fun and informative Monday night live show on social media.
“The heart of our success is being first in fashion in Muskoka,” Judy says. “Quality, forward vision, and really listening to what works as people develop their own signature looks with us. We’re just really pleased to share our experience with the discerning clients who reach out online and walk through our doors.”
Break out the bubbly and let the ladies at Muskoka Bay Clothing take care of the rest.
