Muskoka Bay Clothing

Boutique features phenomenal service

One downtown Gravenhurst store is dedicated to creating old-fashioned customer service experiences for everyone who walks through their door, making it a destination for residents and visitors alike.

Shopping at Muskoka Bay Clothing has become synonymous with high-end service standards that are much less common than they used to be. After all, shopping for new outfits shouldn’t only be about getting great clothing: it should also feature expert advice, curated outfits, personal service and more.

That’s what they’ll find at Muskoka Bay Clothing.

One long-time customer told owner Judy that she was, “so very grateful for the level of customer service provided” because it’s becoming rare to find that in any clothing store. It’s a throwback to when it was a pleasure to make shoppers feel more like guests at a home than just people passing by.

It helps that the current team includes several individuals who bring many decades of high-end customer service experience.

“Shopping should be an enjoyable experience for everyone,” says Judy. “Our amazing team of seasoned customer service experts supports our goals to give everyone a warm and welcoming feeling when they shop with us.”

With fabulous fashion from renowned designers for women and men, customers can find the perfect outfit for any occasion – and the team will happily help. For 19 years – and counting – the boutique store has been caring for their clients’ wardrobing needs.

“We often hear our guests say, ‘Muskoka Bay is an essential stop when we’re in town,’” says Judy. “They like it because there is something for everyone and we curate our fashion to provide options that are a little different than most.”

The little extras range from expert fashion tips to being reminded about the loyalty program rewards you have accumulated. And when clients are being outfitted, the whole team perks up.

“We all want to be part of the experience when our clients are trying on clothes to find that new perfect outfit,” says Judy.

Online presence
Over the past couple of years the store has also updated their website to provide online shoppers with a similarly elevated experience. The easy-to-navigate and colourful site sees visitors from across the globe, while their Facebook page is the place to be weekly for Monday Night Live.

Each Monday around 5 p.m., Judy and her assistant Willow Hillman do a short and fun live video stream about fashion.

“It’s wonderful,” says Judy. “As well as people seeing the video, we have clients come in and ask for Willow specifically because they feel like they know her.”

It’s yet another way that Muskoka Bay Clothing takes their customer service to new heights and creates a must-visit boutique experience.

Demand still high, but buyers taking their time

The real estate market is normalizing, and despite what some panicky naysayers may think, the idea that cottage prices will be plummeting is farfetched.
