Jayne's Luxury Rentals

Vacationers seek luxury cottages

For the past two years your cottage has been a refuge for your family. But this year, there are other options, and many owners don’t plan on using their cottage as much.

Still, the property tax bill rolls in each year and the cost of upkeep just keeps rising.

Sounds like a perfect time to let that property pay for itself by listing it as a vacation rental with a reputable and professional rental company.

“There is demand, particularly for resort-like properties where families can escape to and make cottage memories,” says Jayne McCaw, owner of Jayne’s Luxury Rentals. “And they’re willing to pay top dollar.”

Jayne and her team are well-versed in representing a wide range of properties from boutique to super elite – ranging from $2 million to $20 million.

They steward rentals for grand properties throughout central Ontario, such as Malibu on Simcoe, an exquisite property at Roches Point on Lake Simcoe. This gem features 11 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, three indoor fireplaces, three outdoor fire pits, two games rooms, a full commercial gym, a theatre and much more.

New to the rental market this year is Manor Ridge in Shanty Bay, a stunning property that has eight bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a private office study, a glorious sunroom overlooking the lake and luxurious furnishings throughout.

Jayne’s has managed full-service rentals for many similar properties on other lakes both big and small since 2015.

With over 250 properties (and counting) throughout central Ontario, the company is popular among owners looking to add rental income to their portfolio, without having to manage all of the details.

The company was named one of Canada’s Top Growing Companies in the Globe and Mail’s Report on Business in 2021.

The company’s success is not only due to its amazing properties, but the excellent guests it attracts.

Jayne’s team also performs extensive screening of all their guests and encourages longer, multi-week stays to minimize turnover at a property.

By matching fantastic guests with incredible properties, they have earned a 70-percent repeat guest rate, a strong indicator of the top-of-the-line service they provide.

The team goes in depth to understand their owners’ properties and their individual needs. They record meticulous notes on every property and take pictures of everything – from the cupboards to the waterfront – to ensure the owners find their home or cottage just the way they left it.

“We want our owners and our guests to love the experience and rent with us every year,” says Jayne. “We put extra effort into making it a seamless experience for them.”
