HOVR Aviation

Beat the cottage rush with helicopter service

A smile comes over your face as you glance down upon thousands of vehicles crawling up Highway 400 toward cottage country.

Enjoying the luxurious comfort of being in a helicopter high above the crowds, you think to yourself, “I’m so glad I decided to beat the traffic.”

The helicopter may even be able to drop you at the end of your dock, on the lawn, or at the resort where you’re staying. Depending on wind speed, the trip from Toronto to Simcoe and beyond is only 30 to 40 minutes. You’ll be relaxing and enjoying your cottage well before many others have even made it north of the 401.

“We have flexible times and landing zones,” explains Jay McMackin, HOVR Aviation’s chief pilot and operations manager. “Plus, the scenery from above is absolutely breathtaking.”

Operating out of the Muskoka Airport in Gravenhurst and flying to all major Toronto area airports – Pearson International, Buttonville, and Billy Bishop – HOVR Aviation’s services are in convenient locations.

“We can get you to and from the city without all the stress of being in highway traffic,” explains Jay.

Delightful tours
HOVR Aviation also has a variety of fun and exciting helicopter tours available.

Popular tours include the marriage proposal flight, which includes a stop at a stunning destination and champagne for two. There are fly-and-golf tours, or try the Toronto skyline tour which gives a whole new perspective of Canada’s largest city. An Algonquin Park tour is fabulous in the fall – a great way to feel the full effect of autumn’s colours.

Or put together a custom itinerary, flying over – and possibly even landing at – places that mean a lot to you and your loved ones.

“We also offer Fly and Dine experiences, like a fish and chips tour, or a picnic tour where we stop at a gorgeous location to enjoy a fabulous meal,” explains Jay. “Each tour provides a memorable experience you’ll be sharing with friends and family for years to come.”
