Daryl Idiens Forest Hill Realty

A gorgeous property deserves a house to match

The gates swing inward, and you make your way up the gently curved drive meandering through the trees. And right away, it’s clear this is a special property.

The road side of the house is charming and perfectly proportioned – the four-car garage doesn’t look outsized. But it’s not until you step inside that you really see what makes this house and this property so special.

Every room is flooded with light, taking in a view that is simply magnificent. Sparkling Georgian Bay waters stretch for 30 kms across to the ski hills of the Blue Mountains.

“Tiny Beaches is a truly special place. It has become a highly sought after, and increasingly exclusive shoreline,” says Daryl Idiens of Forest Hill Real Estate, who is facilitating this exclusive offering.

The owners recognized how special this property was when they purchased it in 2018. And they chose to spare no expense in designing and building a home that would suit it.

“Every detail has been thought through, and executed to perfection,” says Daryl. The nearly 5,800 sq. ft. home has five bedrooms and four baths. It is equipped with smart home features throughout, allowing complete control over lighting, audio, security, and environmental features.

A home theatre and full wet bar make entertaining – or enjoying indoor diversions – a delight.

Naturally, the exterior amenities are designed to take full advantage of the location. A salt water pool and a hot tub are both situated to allow views of the bay, and the impeccable landscaping includes an expansive stone seating area around a fire pit.

“The sunset views here are stunning,” says Daryl, then adds: “let’s be honest – the view here is always stunning.”

After years of involvement in Muskoka real estate, from selling to managing luxury rentals to building, Daryl has expanded his service area to include Southern Georgian Bay, Collingwood and the Blue Mountains.

“There’s a magic triangle that extends northwards from Toronto to Muskoka and Collingwood,” he explains, adding that clients often summer in one place and winter in another. “We are connecting the two northern points of the triangle.”

Daryl is also a professional pilot who often provides transportation via aircraft from clients’ home airports to either docks or airstrips near their new potential destinations. With help from sales representative Jill Peters, and the aircraft, he now has the ability to span the Georgian Bay waters and provide more service in several areas. This helps clients work with the same realtor and brokerage in some of their favourite local vacation destinations.

“Trust is a major factor when working with realtors. By having the opportunity to work with clients in multiple areas, trust and relationships can grow naturally, which benefits everyone involved,” Daryl says

“We think of it as air support and ground support,” laughs Jill.

She brings an impressive amount of background knowledge of the region, where she has lived for most of her life.

“There’s a lot of diversity in this area,” she says. “Recreational properties here can include ski chalets, farms with stunning views of the rolling hills, and riverfront refuges, as well as properties like this one, with instant access to the big water. We work with our buyers to find out what it is they are really looking for, and then help them find it.”

Working as a team lets them enhance the level of service they can offer clients, Daryl adds. The two of them draw on their unique backgrounds and can ensure that clients’ needs are met quickly.

“Whether it’s on the Bay, in the hills, or in Muskoka, we work together to connect buyers and sellers on some of the finest properties to be found anywhere.”
