Package your flights andget to the cottage faster for less

There’s so much to love about going to the cottage, but driving there on a Friday night isn’t one of them.

White-knuckling the steering wheel, bumper to bumper with thousands of other Muskoka-bound drivers, dreaming of a better way to get to the cottage.

Wouldn’t it be better to fly? On a chartered flight with Cottage Air, you can go from Billy Bishop Airport to Muskoka Airport – or your dock – in as little as 45 minutes.

While speed is a key benefit to chartered flights, Chris Hogue, owner of Cottage Air, notes that the convenience and quality of the overall experience are also key factors that turn clients into frequent flyers.

While his company is best known for its Toronto-to-Muskoka flight path, each flight plan is customizable. You can fly in and out of communities such as London, Kitchener-Waterloo, and Niagara Falls, or to more distant cities like Montreal, Quebec City, Timmins, or even Detroit or Teterboro NJ.

“Imagine you must attend a business meeting in Montreal while working remotely at your cottage. We can fly you from your dock to Montreal in two hours, then have you back at your cottage dock the same day.”

The beauty of private charters is that your flight is waiting for you, not the other way around.

“We like to say, ‘If you flew Cottage Air, you’d already be there.’”

Cottage Air also provides scenic flights from the Muskoka airport or your cottage dock, offering breathtaking views of the Muskoka region. For a one-of-a-kind dining experience, passengers can also be flown to remote culinary gems, such as Henry’s on Georgian Bay and Killarney Mountain Lodge.

By using multiple float planes, Chris’s team can tailor your flight to your needs and give you the privacy you deserve. The company’s DeHavilland Beaver and Cessna Turbo 206 are both luxuriously upgraded, with state-of-the-art avionics, comfortable leather interiors, and Sirius XM Radio for each passenger.

“We want our clients to be able to board the plane, reach for a cold complimentary beverage, sit back, relax, and enjoy the view without ever worrying about the traffic,” says Chris.

To make flying even more affordable, multi-flight packages are a great option.

“If you’re flying to and from the same location more than 10 times over the course of a summer, our multi-trip packages are ideal,” says Chris. The 10- and 20-trip packages never expire, so you can use them throughout this season or into the next. Use them however you choose – whether to commute to and from the cottage with your family, fly clients up for a round of golf, or fly your guests home after a stay at the cottage. The beauty of these packages is their versatility – use them when and how you want, and save more than if you booked each flight individually.

Another way to save, Chris notes, is with an hourly flight package. These packages allow you to buy a block of flying time, that can be used to fly anywhere at any time. These plans are ideal for those who want the convenience of flying, without a set flight plan in place. Use this package for commuting to the city, sight-seeing tours, and occasional business meetings, whenever they come up.

“Flying by float plane is fast, easy and safe way to travel,” says Chris. “Whether it’s a round-trip or one-way flight, you can trust that we’ll protect your privacy as we fly you to your destination, quickly and safely.”

Don’t get stuck in traffic this summer. Fly above and reach your cottage faster.
