Cloud Gallery

Connecting clients with art they love

For Brian and Amy, finding the perfect piece of art for their cottage meant falling in love more than once. The couple had visited Cloud Gallery and found the ideal piece. Unfortunately, it had already been chosen by another art lover.

“It was scheduled to be delivered to the client’s cottage on Lake Joseph the following morning,” says Mark Fletcher, owner of Cloud Gallery.

Because Brian and Amy had also expressed an interest in a few other pieces, Mark suggested an in-home art show.

“We placed the art around their cottage to help them decide which was best for them,” says Mark. In the end, the couple was so pleased that they bought three pieces.

The satisfaction of connecting clients with great art is what drives Mark and his son Blake. The duo started their gallery out of a mutual love of art.

“It’s magical to watch our clients connect with a piece,” Blake says. “For some, it brings back a warm memory. For others, art can take their breath away.”

Cloud Gallery is taking a hybrid approach to art buying, allowing customers to interact with each piece online and in person.

“We encourage our customers to start by walking through our gallery to find which paintings speak to them,” Blake says.

Clients can browse over 250 pieces online and over 100 pieces in the physical gallery at Creative Nomad Studios in Downtown Orillia – a 10,000 square foot historical building that has recently undergone an extensive renovation.

“The size of our collection hanging in our three gallery spaces has made us a destination gallery,” Blake says. “Our location on the main street is easy to find with lots of parking and only five minutes off Highway 11. Plus, we share our block with two of the best restaurants in the area.” There are lots of reasons to visit Cloud Gallery.

“Our roster of almost 30 artists is a dream team,” says Mark. “We’ve been very selective in who we’ve connected with. We work with established artists from all over the province and we have landscapes and abstracts that all celebrate the natural beauty of Ontario.

“Nothing offers more joy, dollar for dollar, than the perfect piece of art. If you’re simply looking for another piece to add to your collection, or you have a special space where a statement piece is needed, we’re here to help.”

Demand still high, but buyers taking their time

The real estate market is normalizing, and despite what some panicky naysayers may think, the idea that cottage prices will be plummeting is farfetched.
