Embrace water actitivities with modular docks and accessories

Your waterfront home is designed to be enjoyed for generations by those you love. Your dock should be the same, which is why CanadaDocks has designed its dock kits and accessories to adapt to your family’s needs as they change over time.

“Families grow and adopt new hobbies and new water sports as the seasons pass,” says Paul Koziorowski, owner of CanadaDocks, an Ontario-based manufacturer of standing and floating docks.

Over nearly 20 summers of crafting docks, Paul and his team have found that a modular dock system is the ideal solution for the owners of family cottages who want to enjoy their waterfront to its fullest. “The beauty of modular dock systems is that they can be customized and reconfigured as your family’s needs and interests change,” says Paul.

Each dock kit is constructed using premium marine-grade aluminum, making it lightweight, eco-friendly and incredibly durable.

“Assembling our docks is a breeze,” says Paul. “Putting together a section requires common household tools and little time. An entire dock can be constructed and installed in one day.”

Adding new modules is just as easy – even years down the road. This approach also allows property owners to build their ideal dock one season at a time, as their budget allows.

Ergonomic solutions
CanadaDocks has also designed Access Platforms, Safety Grab Bars, and their newest dock accessory, The Canoe and Kayak Launcher, to make it even easier for cottagers of all ages and abilities to enjoy their favourite watersports and hobbies.

The Canoe and Kayak Launcher, notes Paul, is in many ways a third generation of the original Access Platform design. The idea developed through many conversations with clients – particularly many elderly cottagers who said they were finding it more difficult to balance while getting in and out of their canoe or kayak.

“The Canoe and Kayak Launcher allows you to step into your canoe or kayak and slowly lower yourself into a sitting position without the risk of tipping,” Paul explains. The secure, stable platform cradles your canoe or kayak from underneath using four underwater support bars which also function as handlebars to help launching and coming in.

It is designed to seamlessly attach to your existing floating dock, regardless of when you purchased it. The launcher is not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing. Its sleek design and durable construction complement your dock, enhancing its overall look while providing practical utility.

“One couple recently installed one at their pond,” Paul adds, noting that the couple have always enjoyed kayaking but have recently found it more difficult to get in and out. “They installed two kayak holders and a kayak launcher. Now they have confidence mounting and dismounting their kayaks, as well as the convenience of having them close to the water all season long.”

These solutions are so popular that they’ve sold out several times this year. They’ve also gained the attention of municipalities and businesses looking to make their waterfront more accessible. From resorts to kayak and paddleboard rental companies, CanadaDocks’ dock accessories give everyone, young and old, the confidence they need to enjoy summer on the water.

Ship anywhere
The Roller Ramp is another popular solution. It sits directly on the shore, allowing boaters to winch their boat or PWC up onto the shore.

Like all CanadaDock kits, it is light and easy to move.

“Our products come in boxes and can ship across Canada,” says Paul. The boxes are even small enough to fit in the bottom of your family boat, one reason CanadaDocks kits have become a favourite with island properties and remote cottage owners.

Design on
line But “easy” doesn’t just apply to assembly. “We’ve added a tool to our website to make it easier to create your ideal dock that fits your budget.”

By clicking the “Design My Dock” button, you can drag and drop dock sections to create your ideal configuration and get an estimate to find out how much it will cost. You can even add lounge chairs, boats, plants and accessories to your design to help you visualize how the dock will function for your family.

Once you have a design and estimate, use the website to search for a CanadaDocks dealer in your area. With dealers in Muskoka, Simcoe, Georgian Bay and across the country, ordering your dream dock is easy. “A modular dock is where fun on the water begins.”
