Custom-built saunas heal and create joy

After a lifetime of putting his body through some rough treatment, Jason Lilley, owner of Mill Lane Saunas, learned about the health benefits of plunging into cold water, followed by a session in a hot sauna. “A friend who is a retired professional hockey player had been working to rebuild his own body throughout his entire career. He taught me about this regimen, and I was willing to give it a try. It made a huge difference to my health, and I wanted to offer that opportunity to other people, too.”

For the past 15 years, Jason has been crafting saunas that are not just products but personalized sanctuaries. Each sauna is meticulously designed and built to cater to individual preferences, ensuring a truly unique and tailored experience. “They’re not simply saunas; they can also be a bunkie or a quiet meditation space. I often go out in mine for an hour of peace and quiet.”

One-of-a-kind
Jason prides himself on creating the right design for each of his clients. “These aren’t production-style saunas, they’re really works of art that we can match to the other buildings on your property, or we can create something that visually stands out from your place.”

The luxury timber frame saunas can be built on a wide variety of terrain, from rocky beaches to uneven ground. “We can build them almost anywhere with minimal destruction to the property. We don’t need to build a flat pad; we work with the existing terrain.”

Jason’s expertise has allowed him to create these warm escapes with large amounts of double-paned, insulated glass, so the view of the lake or forest is not impeded by solid walls. “We can do seamless corners of glass that don’t obstruct the view. We can also add a front deck to augment the beauty and functionality of the building.”

How it works
After connecting with clients via phone or his website, Jason meets them to understand their needs and wants. An agreement on design is drawn up, he visits the site and creates drawings of the sauna, and then the build begins.

For your health
“Not only are these saunas beautiful, but they also add longevity to your life. Scandinavian countries are so far ahead of us in this regard, and it’s time we realized the immense health benefits of using a sauna. They can change your life.”
